Ditte and David, founders of Beans & Brains, had their daughter Della, who was born with a severe CP injury as a result of a brain haemorrhage when she was in the womb. This is something that has made us open our eyes to the importance of the work around brain research. Ditte and David came to the conclusion that they want to contribute something, so they decided to donate SEK 10 for every kilo of Beans & Brains coffee sold to the Brain Foundation's research.

With extensive experience in the coffee industry and a blog with thousands of followers, they realized that we can make a real difference by together creating a coffee concept that makes tomorrow for our daughter and other children in her situation the better. Beans & Brains have already made an impression - today they have sold over 3,300 kilos of coffee and are a movement that is only growing!

When Isolina and Ditte were seen, they wanted to hit their wise heads together and Beans & Brain's work has always inspired us at Bounir. Every year, Bounir makes two collections for charity and Beans & Brains was the most obvious choice for us. We started sketching together a collection and when many identify Ditte with dots (or Coffee Brains as we have chosen to call them, because the dots are the shape of coffee beans for inspiration) due to her decor and Beans & Brains own porcelain, the choice of pattern fell very natural. You can buy Ditte x Bounir's collection here. 10% of our profit will go in full to the Brain Foundation's research via the Beans & Brains fundraiser, which you can also donate money to here.

As many of you here have probably seen, Della is unfortunately no longer with us. This makes us at Bounir want to honor and dedicate this collection to her memory. We are incredibly proud and happy to work with Ditte, David and the gang behind Beans & Brains. Your work is invaluable 🤍
